Gold Sox Reel Off Another Win
|
The Chicago Gold Sox knocked off the Kingston Township Legion, 3-2. Chicago starter Javier Dávila pitched well enough to earn top player honors. Chicago has now reeled off 7 straight wins.
In the top of the 4th, Chicago took the lead on a 2-run double by Stanley Belote. At the time, the Gold Sox were trailing 1-0, but Belote's hit with two outs against Kingston Township pitcher Jon Briddon put them in front, 2-1.
"I felt good even in the late innings," said Dávila after the game.
