With shortstop Arturo Acevedo leading the charge, the Portland Evergreens defeated the Capital District Red Knights, 9-7, at Evergreen Park. Acevedo went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Fernando Ramírez converted his 16th save in 20 tries. At 30-41, Portland is in 9th place in the Third League.

Chris Williamson went 2 for 4 with a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for Portland. The two-time Gold Glove winner had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. That's when he broke a 7-7 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Chang-keun Hyon. It was his 31st RBI of the season.
