Getting a good performance from third baseman Mark McClear, the Houston 1837 BBC defeated the Kingston Township Legion, 6-5. McClear was 3-4 with a triple and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the 1837 BBC. The winner was Houston reliever Francisco García, now 3-1. The loser was Taro Ohayashi. With the win, the 1837 BBC improved to 33-30.
The clutch at-bat in the bottom of the ninth belonged to McClear. Facing Yosuke Takahashi with a runner on 1st, the Houston third baseman had a run-scoring triple. Game over, walk-off style!
