Late Rally by Red Knights Secures Win
|
Capital District Red Knights starter Juan Montoya was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Portland Evergreens, 3-2. The Red Knights sit in 11th place in the Third League with a record of 19-31.
The most important at-bat for Capital District came in the top of the ninth inning, when shortstop Arnold Giroux stroked a 1-0 forkball to center for a 2-run triple, putting Capital District up, 3-2.
"Juan is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Capital District manager Don Lookingbill.
