Multi-HR Day for Robledo as Dogfish Head Overpower Great Lakers, 6-3
|
The Pure Michigan Great Lakers were defeated, 6-3, by the Milton Dogfish Head. Leading the charge for Milton was center fielder Víctor Robledo. He belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Milton reliever Carlos Valentín picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Juan Villanueva was saddled with the loss. The Great Lakers, at 3-9, have stumbled out of the gate.
The outcome might have been different had it not been for Robledo. In the top of the seventh inning, when the Dogfish Head were trailing 3-2, Robledo delivered a two-out 2-run home run for Milton, giving his team the lead.
On being named player of the game, Robledo said: "I just love going out and having a big game. It's an honor to have your talents recognized."
