Oakland Oaks starter José García was in fine form against the Richardson City Thundercats at The Thunder Dome, leading his team to a 6-2 win. García went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 4-6. At 25-35, Oakland is in 9th place in the Premier League.
Oakland took the lead in the top of the fourth on a big hit from Todd Henry. On a 1-0 cutter from Cordell Wilson, Henry hit a 2-run home run. That made it 2-0, Oaks. For the day, Henry went 2-5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
