León Hits 2 home runs in Lynx Win
|
The Calgary Lynx and Pennsauken Flyers obliged those fans who came to Lynx Stadium looking for a good time.
A 3-RBI performance from José León, who is tied for 9th in the SAAA in home runs with 11, helped the Calgary Lynx beat the Pennsauken Flyers, 8-7. Felipe Machado got the win, improving to 1-1. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 3 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 4.
Also producing for Calgary was first baseman Thomas Campbell, who stroked a 2-run single in the bottom of the second. For the game, Campbell was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3.
"This was a good win for us," said León. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
The Lynx' win now puts them at 58-41.
