Tritons Come Back Late to Clip Fighting Dachsunds
|
Jersey City Tritons starter Ricardo Rodríguez turned in a sterling performance against the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. António Rúbio earned the save, his 9th. The win puts the Tritons at 48-44, while the Fighting Dachsunds drop to 44-48.
Rudko Hrnjak drove in one run for Jersey City. The 24-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. That's when he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Ron Anderson. It was his 10th RBI of the season.
"We did enough to win," said Rodríguez.
