Hotspur Reserves Come Up Short at Ellenburg
|
Pitcher Willie Cameron was sensational for the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds in his team's 6-1 triumph over the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves. Cameron received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. The winning pitcher was Cameron, now 9-7. He tossed 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 4. Garrett Harrington, credited with the save, is now 6 for 7 in save opportunities.
Ellenburg catcher Roy Bowman helped the Fighting Dachsunds go up, 1-0, in the bottom of the fifth inning. With the game tied, Bowman hit a run-scoring single off Phoenix pitcher Mike Harris.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Bowman.
Phoenix has now lost 4 straight.
