Victory Pushes Halberds Record to 43-36
|
Benefiting from the performance of Bryan Clifton, the Alloway Halberds defeated the Jersey City Tritons, 11-3. Clifton was 4-6 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Halberds. Alloway starter Bob Browning was credited with the win after throwing 114 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 6-2. Picking up the save was Jim Unknown, his 1st.
Also producing for Alloway was first baseman Jorge López, who stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the second. For the game, López was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2.
