The Port Royal Disaster stopped the Jersey City Tritons, 5-0, at Ballpark of Port Royal. The Disaster got a big game from José Martínez, who went 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Aukukero Mincarlie Jr., credited with the win, is now 4-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4.2 innings. The Disaster, now at 28-48, know that wins in August count the same as wins in September.

Martínez came through with some timely hitting for Port Royal. With the score 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth and two down, Martínez hit a 1-1 fastball for a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season -- and a big reason the Disaster managed to win.

"It was a good effort all around," said Martínez.
