Fighting Dachsunds Take 10-2 Pounding
Port Royal right-hander Elton Mobley made an effective start against the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds at Ballpark of Port Royal, leading his team to a 10-2 win. Mobley, now 5-5, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 1 earned run. Esteban García earned the save, his 2nd.

Port Royal designated hitter Richard Hicks helped the Disaster go up, 3-2, in the bottom of the fourth inning. With the game tied, Hicks hit a run-scoring single off Ellenburg pitcher Willie Cameron.

"We took it on the chin today," said losing manager Nathan Austin.

The Disaster saw their record improve to 26-47.
