Fighting Dachsunds Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Hotspur Reserves
Ellenburg first baseman José Vázquez was instrumental in his team's 9-7 win over the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves. Vázquez, who is tied for 10th in the SAAA in total bases with 103, went 3-5 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Fighting Dachsunds. The win was credited to Dave Mitchell in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Alexander Weareorwear took the loss. At 32-37, the Fighting Dachsunds find themselves in 8th place in the Silver AAA.

Late-game drama came in the top of the eighth inning. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the batter, Marty Jennings, got hit by a pitch. It helped Ellenburg seize the win.
