Victory Pushes Tritons Record to 37-30
|
Chris Sommer never let the Tortolita Drummers find their groove. Throughout the game, Sommer, who leads the SAAA in innings pitched with 103.0, relied on his bread and butter, his fastball, in pitching the Tritons to a win. Jersey City now has a 3-game win streak.
Luis Rodríguez was a key contributor to the win for the Tritons. In the bottom of the seventh with one out, the light-hitting left fielder stroked a triple to right. He went 2-4 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs.
Sommer attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
