The Tortolita Drummers went home winners at Drummers Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Rodger de Meza. de Meza silenced the Port Royal Disaster, enabling Tortolita to grab the 2-1 win. With the win, Tortolita goes to 29-31, while the Disaster fall to 20-40.

Also doing his part was right fielder Rick Mayfield, who stroked a run-scoring double in the bottom of the third for Tortolita. For the game, Mayfield went 1 for 4 with a double.

"Runs were at a premium," said Tortolita manager Juan López.
