Tritons Stymie Pennsauken, Take 6-1 Win
|
Jersey City Tritons starter Dave Stephenson turned in a top-notch performance against the Pennsauken Flyers at Pennsauken Park. The result was a win for the Tritons, 6-1. Jersey City is in first place in the Silver AAA with a record of 29-20.
The Tritons beat the Flyers in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the home run Mike Greene produced in the top of the fourth. Batting against Pennsauken pitcher Seong-rae Park, he gave his team a 1-0 lead when he hit a solo home run.
"Both teams played hard," said Jersey City manager Rich Harris.
