The Alloway Halberds got a stellar performance from pitcher Jim Unknown, who handcuffed the Ellenburg offense en route to a 3-1 win at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Jim Unknown finished to wrap up his 1st save. The Halberds improved to 18-19.
Dennis Clifton aided the Alloway cause with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the ninth. For the game, the pinch hitter drove in one run.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Alloway Halberds manager Santiago Vargas.
