Fighting Dachsunds Prevail, 7-3, Over Sioux Falls
|
Ellenburg starter Michael Fletcher had a strong outing against the Sioux Falls Red Pandas at The Bamboo Forest. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 7-3 win. The winning pitcher was Fletcher, now 3-3. He tossed 8.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. The Fighting Dachsunds sit in 9th place in the Silver AAA with a record of 12-17.
Also having an impact was shortstop Locke Lamora, who stroked a triple in the top of the first for Ellenburg. For the game, Lamora went 2-5 with 2 triples, while scoring 2 times.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Lamora told a Ellenburg News reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
