In a close game at Pennsauken Park, the Calgary Lynx edged the Pennsauken Flyers, 4-3. Calgary center fielder Ted Striker earned the nod as player of the game after he was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, while scoring 3 times. Morlack Spurgeon, credited with the win, is now 3-1. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in 6 innings. Juan López closed the door for Calgary, picking up his 1st save of the year.
Tied up with the Flyers in the top of the fourth, the Lynx got a boost from left fielder Lytle Creek. With a runner on 3rd, Creek saw a full count fastball from Zach Rediker and hit a 2-run home run to break the stalemate and put Calgary on top, 3-1.
Striker told the Calgary Bulletin: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
