Despite a fine performance by catcher Vincent Klein, the Tortolita Drummers suffered a 6-4 loss to the Port Royal Disaster. Klein was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Port Royal reliever Bryan Boyd picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jim Unknown absorbed the loss. The save went to Omar Casteneda, his 5th this season.

The Port Royal win was a team effort. It included major contributions from, among others, Mike Green. In the bottom of the seventh, the Port Royal second baseman came to bat and hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 5-4 lead.

In postgame remarks, Green said: "To all who've been doubting my effort -- I hope they saw this game."

The 8th-place Disaster are now 9-12, the Drummers 8-13.
