Hotspur Reserves Fall Short, 2-1, at Sioux Falls
|
The Sioux Falls Red Pandas dealt the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves a 2-1 loss at The Bamboo Forest. Armando Becerra was the star on offense. He went 2 for 3 with a home run. He scored 2 times. Sioux Falls reliever Javier López was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Mike Harris. With the win, Sioux Falls elevates its record to 7-10.
Becerra came through with some timely hitting for Sioux Falls. With the score 1-0 in the bottom of the third and two down, Becerra hit a 2-2 fastball for a solo home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season -- and a big reason the Red Pandas managed to win.
