Flyers Get Past Ellenburg for 4-2 Win
|
Meka Knight had a good game, even if his team, the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds, did not. Ellenburg dropped a 4-2 decision to Pennsauken at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Pennsauken reliever Claudio Díaz picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Willie Cameron was saddled with the loss. Picking up the save was Yajirobei Otomo, his 2nd.
In the top of the 8th, pinch hitter Brad Lawrence gave Pennsauken the lead when he hit a 3-run home run. The Flyers had been trailing 2-1, but the two-out home run off Ellenburg pitcher Willie Cameron changed that -- and Pennsauken went on to win.
"It was a good effort all around," said Lawrence.
With the loss, Ellenburg sinks to 3-4.
