Red Pandas Lose Again, 9-6
|
Jesús Martínez was instrumental in his team's 9-6 triumph over the Sioux Falls Red Pandas. The third baseman went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 3 times for the Tortolita Drummers. Tortolita reliever Mike Desmond picked up the win to move to 1-0. Kaluka Wene suffered the loss. With the loss, Sioux Falls sinks to 0-6.
In the bottom of the fourth, Jesús Morales had a big 2-run single off Kaluka Wene. With the single, the Tortolita left fielder put his team in front, 7-5. He went 2-5 with a double, while adding 3 RBI in the contest.
"Been a rough stretch for us," said Sioux Falls manager Barry Embling.
