BC Shut Out Lake Monsters
|
Houston used a superb performance from starting pitcher Ismael Padilla to down the Vermont Lake Monsters, 5-0. The winning pitcher was Padilla, now 1-0. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 3. The loss drops Vermont to 1-4.
Early in the game, center fielder Albert Delgado had a 2-run home run for Houston. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the BC on top, 2-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Delgado told the Houston News.
