Multi-HR Day for López as Atoms Overpower Polar Bears, 8-5

The Bethesda Atoms powered past the Billings Polar Bears, 8-5, at The Igloo. Ernesto López hit 2 home runs, to lead the charge. Bethesda reliever Alonso Ruíz picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Bryan Tuff absorbed the loss. Holden Rosen Grupp picked up the save, his 24th.
Diego Rosas was a key contributor to the win for the Atoms. In the top of the seventh with two out, the light-hitting designated hitter stroked a single to left. He went 1-4 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Bethesda Atoms manager Steve Vance. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
This win makes it 2 in a row for Bethesda.
