Loss to Youth Extends Durham Losing Streak
|
Rick McGuire had a good game, but he could not keep the Durham Rapiers from falling, 6-5, to the Phoenix Hotspur Youth at Rapiers Ballpark. The Durham catcher went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 in the loss. The winner was Phoenix Hotspur reliever Ray Davis, now 1-0. The loser was Johnnie Bough. Durham has now lost 6 in a row.
Also having an impact was right fielder David Rivas, who stroked a 2-run double in the top of the first for Phoenix Hotspur. For the game, Rivas went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2.
