Continentals Top Polar Bears to Even Record
The Chesapeake Continentals knocked off the Billings Polar Bears, 7-5, at The Igloo. Rudko Hrnjak, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Chesapeake won. The right fielder was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. With the victory, the Continentals record now stands at 40-40.

The Continentals beat the Polar Bears in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the home run Júlio Vargas produced in the top of the fifth. Batting against Billings pitcher Loeck Visser, he gave his team a 4-2 lead when he hit a 2-run home run.

"Winning is not something we take for granted," Vargas said.
