Billings pitcher Mick Alston gave the Atoms all they could handle, but in the end, Bethesda left Atoms Field with a 1-0 win. Alston allowed no earned runs on 2 hits over 6.2 innings. Bethesda reliever Holden Rosen Grupp was the winner. His record is now 6-6. Jim Unknown took the loss. The Atoms saw their record improve to 28-48.
Diego Rosas was the walk-off hero for Bethesda. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Bethesda right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Rosas said.
