|
The Chesapeake Continentals topped the Durham Rapiers, 4-1, in USSL Double A action at Rapiers Ballpark. The player of the game was Chesapeake pitcher Guldemunde Geilinger. Geilinger was the winning pitcher and moves to 4-3. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 2 walks. The win puts the Continentals at 30-30, while the Rapiers drop to 33-27.
Also producing for Chesapeake was left fielder Dave Yates, who stroked a double in the top of the second. For the game, Yates went 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch.
