Chesapeake Continentals starter Francisco Sandoval turned in a top-notch performance against the Irving Blue Sox at Chesapeake Grounds. The result was a win for the Continentals, 4-2. Sandoval was the winning pitcher and moves to 2-4. He threw 5 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 5 walks. At 25-26, the Continentals find themselves in 6th place in the Silver AA.
Also having an impact was first baseman Miguel Gazivoda, who stroked a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fourth for Chesapeake. For the game, Gazivoda went 1 for 4 with a double.
