Chase Mooney added some punch to the Bethesda offense, helping them outmuscle the Billings Polar Bears, 10-7. In the game, Mooney, who is tied for 8th in the SAA in RBI with 18, went 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Phil Miller got the win, improving to 2-5. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 7 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 3. Holden Rosen Grupp picked up the save, his 6th.
Enoch Reinhardt didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring double to put Bethesda on top, 1-0.
"It was a nice win for our side today," said Bethesda Atoms manager Steve Vance. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
Bethesda, at 9-21, occupies last place in the Silver AA.
