Continentals Knock Off Tacoma at Chesapeake Grounds
The Chesapeake Continentals beat the Tacoma Fur Traders, 10-6, at Chesapeake Grounds. Chesapeake designated hitter Ken Sandoval earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 1-2 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times. Juan Valdéz got the save, the 1st for him this season. The Fur Traders fall to 6-9 and continue their lackluster start in 2027.

Vincent Vega, the 22 overall pick in the 2023 draft, aided the Chesapeake cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the second baseman went 1-2 with 2 walks. He scored 2 times.
