Tanner Hits 2 home runs in Express Win
|
The Oakland Oaks were defeated, 8-3, by the Wizarding Express. Leading the charge for Wizarding was left fielder Nathan Tanner. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. Ming-jiang Wu recorded the save for Wizarding, his 1st of the season. Oakland has now lost 8 in a row.
Tanner contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Wizarding in the top of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Tanner took a sinker from Matt Webber and stroked the home run to right-center. His 8th home run of the season allowed the Express to leap in front, 3-1.
"I felt good up there," said Tanner. "I saw the ball well."
