Polar Bears Deal Blue Sox Painful Loss
|
The Billings Polar Bears topped the Irving Blue Sox, 4-3, in USSL Double A action at The Igloo. The player of the game was Billings pitcher Olivier Carlier. The win was credited to Isei Sugimoto in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jon Schultz took the loss. The win moves Billings to a record of 3-0.
When he came to bat in the bottom of the tenth, Vicente Quezada had a chance to end it. Irving pitcher Jon Schultz had other ideas. But with no outs, Quezada hit a sacrifice fly. The Polar Bears had the walk-off win.
"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Quezada said.
