The Wizarding Express and Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC obliged those fans who came to Great Northern Field hoping for an exciting game.
In a tight contest at Great Northern Field, the Wizarding Express edged the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC by the score of 8-6. The Wizarding Express' center fielder Chi-ju Zhang, who blasted 1 home run, was named the player of the game. Wizarding reliever Eijiro Takahashi picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Júlio Palma was saddled with the loss. Dorian Daly earned the save for Wizarding, his 11th of the year.
Wizarding took a 7-6 lead on António Martínez's 6th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Thunder Bay pitcher Júlio Palma in the top of the ninth.
"Ah, the sweet taste of victory!" Zhang crowed after the game.
The 9th-place Express lifted their record to 15-24.
