Patriots Topple Thundercats as Kato Shines
|
Behind a solid performance from second baseman Tamasaburo Kato, the Boston Patriots defeated the Richardson City Thundercats, 9-5. Kato was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 5 for the Patriots. Boston starter John Kaufman was credited with the win after throwing 127 pitches over 8 innings. His record now stands at 7-1. Boston is now 27-12, 2 games up in the Premier League.
Boston took a 8-5 lead on Kato's 6th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Javier Ramírez in the top of the eighth, propelled Boston to the win.
