Both teams had their chances, but the Salt Lake City Buzz eventually prevailed at Dodos Ballpark.
The Salt Lake City Buzz got a stellar performance from pitcher Brian Morris, who handcuffed the Hialeah offense en route to a 6-0 win at Dodos Ballpark. Morris was the winning pitcher and moves to 8-4. He threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 1 walk.
Also making an impact was center fielder Vicente Cruz, who drilled a triple in the top of the second for Salt Lake City. For the game, Cruz was 2-4 with a triple and a walk, while scoring 2 times.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Morris said.
Salt Lake City is now 69-30, 8½ games up in the Menard's AAA.
