Longnecks Get 10-5 Win Versus Hialeah
|
Longnecks left fielder Chris Payling put his stamp on his team's 10-5 win over the Hialeah Dodos. Payling was 2-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for Bloomington in the contest. Nick Taylor earned the save, his 1st, for the Longnecks. The third-place Longnecks have won 4 in a row.
Bloomington grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the seventh, when Payling, who is rated as the 34th best prospect by BNN, hit a 3-run home run. His 5th home run put the Longnecks out in front, 6-3.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play ever better," said Bloomington manager Roberto Valverde.
