Pitcher Roberto De La Cruz was sensational for the Salt Lake City Buzz in his team's 5-1 triumph over the Brinkley Belugas. De La Cruz received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Salt Lake City goes to 51-25. The win puts them 2½ games up in their division.
Early in the game, first baseman Gustavo Berrios had a run-scoring single for Salt Lake City. It was his 22nd hit of the season and put the Buzz on top, 1-0.
Berrios attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
