|
Starting pitcher Lúcio Sánchez pitched well enough to help the Boston Patriots beat the Oakland Oaks by the score of 5-3. In 5.2 innings, Sánchez surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 3. He allowed 3 runs. Kyung-un Yi was credited with the save for Boston, his 8th of the season.
Terry Armstrong dealt the Oaks a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and Boston trailing 2-0, Armstrong, who is tied for 6th in the PL in hits with 41, hit a 1-1 changeup for a run-scoring single.
