The Scranton Supernovas downed the Tremont Doubledays, 6-5, at Nuclear Stadium. The Supernovas were led by Martín Álvarez, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Scranton is in 11th place in the Menard's AAA with a record of 23-38.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, first baseman Pedro Rivera came through big-time for the Supernovas. With Scranton trailing 5-2, he belted a 3-run home run.
