Men Come Up Short at Brinkley
|
The Brinkley Belugas got a stellar effort from pitcher Don Teehan, helped Brinkley score a 5-2 win over the visiting Florida Men. Teehan went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 2-0. The Belugas raised their record to 22-26.
Brinkley took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, Mario Nieves hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Belugas.
"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Teehan said in reaction to the win.
