Supernovas Go Down to Defeat, 6-2
|
Alaskan turned a good effort from starter Quentin Bowers into a win over the Scranton Supernovas at Nuclear Stadium. The final score was 6-2. Bowers, now 1-5, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 2 earned runs. With the win, Alaskan goes to 18-23, while the Supernovas fall to 14-27.
Alaskan took the lead in the top of the seventh. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Mark Allen stroked a 3-run home run to make it 5-2, Humpbacks.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Allen said after the game.
