The Bloomington Longnecks picked up a win at Lookouts Ballpark, knocking off the Scranton Supernovas, 4-2. On the mound for Bloomington was right-hander Pedro Lara, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winning pitcher was Lara, now 2-6. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 2. Anaías Pedroza nailed down his 8th save.

In the bottom of the third, Adrián Gómez had a big run-scoring double off Victor Brey. With the double, the Bloomington designated hitter put his team in front, 2-1. He went 1-4 with a double in the contest.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Lara said.

Bloomington, now 15-20, holds 9th place in the Menard's AAA.
