|
The Brinkley Belugas beat the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 9-7, at Crane Field. Brinkley designated hitter Eric Porter earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Belugas improved to a lofty 12-13 mark.
Brandon Cole's at-bat in the top of the eighth was significant for the Belugas. Coming to the plate with the bases loaded and Brinkley leading 8-7, the third baseman drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
