Riding the 2-hit performance of the 22-year old right fielder Sang Hong-Do, the Tremont Doubledays stymied the Bloomington Longnecks, 7-1. Cooper Myers picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Roberto Calderón was tagged with the loss. The Longnecks fall to 6-12 and continue their lackluster start in 2027.

José Cervantes was a key contributor to the win for the Doubledays. In the top of the sixth with two out, the light-hitting center fielder stroked a single to center. He went 1-4. He drove in 2 runs.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Tremont manager Lendon Tipton.
