Hot Start Continues for Golden Cranes
The exploits of third baseman Salvador Noriega helped the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes defeat the Brinkley Belugas, 6-2. Noriega was 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Santa Barbara, now 5-1, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Noriega came through with some timely hitting for Santa Barbara. With the score 2-1 in the top of the second and no one down, Noriega hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring triple. It was his 1st triple of the season -- and a big reason the Golden Cranes managed to win.
