1837 BBC Lose to BC, 3-1
|
Philadelphia 1776 right-hander Cory Sanders pitched his team to victory over the Houston 1837 BBC at Ben Franklin Memorial Coliseum. The final score was 3-1. Carlos Ramos earned the save for Philadelphia 1776, his 10th. The BC bumped their record to 20-14 with this latest triumph.
The BC beat the 1837 BBC in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the single Jesús Orozco produced in the bottom of the fifth. Batting against Houston pitcher Greg White, he gave his team a 2-1 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.
"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said Orozco. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."
