Grey Wolves Take Tight Tilt
The Vancouver Grey Wolves got a magnificent performance from pitcher Roy Shively, who muffled the Rocky Mountain offense en route to a tight 2-0 Grey Wolves win at Nuggets Park. Shively got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 5 hits and walked 3 over 6 innings. Shively allowed no earned runs. Francisco Valdés got the save, his 10th in 12 chances.

Vancouver grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 1st, Brian Williams delivered a 2-run home run, to make it 2-0 in favor of the Grey Wolves.

"Roy did a tremendous job," said Vancouver manager David Krause.

Vancouver is in 5th place in the Silver League with a record of 50-45.
