Paez Earns June's Best Pitcher Honor Wednesday, July 1st, 2026 There's something about a young rookie winning the USPL Double A Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Santiago Paez, a 22-year-old starter for the Asheville Highlanders. In June, he topped off the month with a 3-0 mark and 0.92 ERA in 4 starts, tossed 29.1 innings, fanned 22 and held opposing teams to a .150 average. This year Paez has 5 wins and no losses and a 1.16 ERA. |
